This natural oral dietary supplement comes in a soft gel capsule form. Cystoprotek is made with anti-inflammatory properties glucosamine, quercetin and rutin to help reduce bladder damage and pain, and glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronate sodium help replenish the damaged glycosaminoglycan (GAG) protective layer in the bladder. Chondroitin sulfate is one of the main components of cartilage and muscosa layers, forming the connecive tissue that holds muscles, nerves, and blood vessels together. Sodium hyaluronate is another component of protective tissue, including the GAG layer of the bladder, and is essential in the rebuilding process. Extracted from the saphora plant, rutin is a non-acidic natural flavonoid that adds additional anti-inflammatory qualities and liberated quercetin in the intestine, making absorption easier. CystoProtek is not a cure for IC. At this time, there is no known cure for the condition. Additionally, it is important to understand that CystoProtek is not an analgesic. It may take three to four months to offer a relief of symptoms. In clinical study Cystoprotek was well tolerated by patients ingesting 4-6 softgel capsules per day for 4-6 months.

Cystoprotek does what it says it will.....protects your bladder! If I am ever dumb enough to run out, I feel it immediately. I will continue to use this product forever. I have suffered with bladder problems since birth. This is the only supplement that has ever helped me.

This stuff works great for mild to moderate IC. Yeah, it's expensive, but so are prescription drugs and they have so many unsavory side effects. FYI, you must give it at least a few months to kick in. Also, drink Marshmallow tea. It soothes the bladder during a flair.

This stuff will not work immediately for you. Not a few days or even a week. It is not a drug or miracle pill. The body does not work that way with these supplements. The company's website even says you need to give this product a few months to begin to work. And it may not work for you then, it's not the same for everyone for relieving symptoms. Like another wonderful commenter pointed out it takes time for your body to heal.
So please beware of some of these comments. If you are going to try this forget the comments that claim IC for 9 years with no hope or help until they tried this and felt better within days or weeks. I hate to see anyone follow these people and quit when they don't get the same supposed results. Please give it time to work and don't expect a "cure". This is not a cure in the least it may help some of your symptoms but it is not a cure.
The only complaint about the product specifically is this.... Since this is to help a pain disease and usually people who purchase this are those desperate for help, they should be approved through something like USP. It's a non profit that will test the supplement and let the consumers know if what the company claims is in the bottle is really there. And at the quality stated. Just making claims with no outside seal to back it up does nothing. I will no longer buy a supplement no matter how expensive or big the claims unless an outside party has tested and made reports. The FDA does not do that. These companies can claim whatever they want and not put it in the bottle.
So that's about it. If you are trying it, give it time! And I truly hope that all of you get relief from this disease and we find a cure soon.

I have had IC for over 5 years. I have taken lots of different medications in those 5 years to ease the pain and urge to pee 40 times a day. The instillations for my bladder helped. Pain medication also helps ALOT. But I can't take pain medication forever, so I decided to try this Cystoprotek. So far I have not seen to much change but I will continue using it until I do. This IC that people suffer from is the worse thing in anyones life. The price is a little high but amazon has the best price I have seen so far.....The IC diet works....but alot of my favorite foods went out the window. I lost 50 pounds. I would rather have those pounds back and no IC. If you don't stick to the IC diet Cystoprotek is probably not going to work for anyone. Good luck everyone I hope this product works for all of us suffering out there...god help us.............
